Nina Suzanne’s dress shop….Who would have thought it to be a nice venue to play in?

You never know where a favorite place to play me crop up.  I played a gig last night at Nina Suzanne’s in Montrose.  Nina’s is dress shop and the businesses of Montrose were having an event to support the arts.  Artists were set up inside of the businesses and they stayed open late.  As patrons meandered in and out I played to make their experience a more complete one.  I traded off between classical pieces and vocal country and Spanish that I wrote.  If a piece caught a listener’s ear, they would linger close by and then visit about it once the song was over.  It reminded me of singing in my living room for friends.  There was a couple from France, a nice woman from Ohio and a couple with a thick German accent who had been in Montrose for 40 years.  I sold a few CDs and came away with a nice fulfillment of purpose accomplished.  Niki tagged along and people, especially the German fellow, were obvious in their wish to encourage her in her young life and direction.   Thank you, Nina, for asking me to be part of your fun.
