Hi!
I’ve had a very musical and memory packed day. A nice person that I knew years ago, Larry, has encouraged me and my music and contacted me after years of not knowing each other, at all. It’s always such a nice surprise when someone from so many years ago actually remembers me……I mean…….be honest, KLEINSORGE isn’t the EASIEST name to remember after all these years! He didn’t have the easy way out of remembering me as DR. Mary…..I wasn’t a doctor back them. So, finding me after many years wasn’t as easy as you might think. Thank you, Larry, for remembering me and finding me, now. And thank you for investing in my music. I need people to love my music for me to justify continuing to record. Sometimes I forget that you can make an impression even with a short opportunity and that you need to keep that in mind when living your life. You never really know, do you?…..Larry remembers a terrible sunburn that I had, years ago……..I really think that I remember the exact sunburn. That was such a terrible one, back then…….I’m actually so sensitive to the sun, now. You should know that I’m much brighter, now. I wear 50 sunscreen nearly every day of my LIFE, now! **chuckle*** When I’m 90, I’ll look like I’m 75! I’m so careful about exposing, now!
I started my lessons with Javier, today. He’s young and Spanish and probably doesn’t know what to do with me. But, I’m convinced that he has something to offer me that I can’t get from anyone else. So, I’m excited to learn from him. We’re going to play a Duet in D by Carrulli and we’ll try the finale of it on Saturday when I meet with him. So, when I finish writing, I’ll have to practice. He’s also going to help coach me on my Spanish language in a couple of songs that I’d like to learn. Wish me luck and the time to learn…..
I went to Montrose and listened to Stephen Felberg play some music at the Canyon Creek Bed and Breakfast. It was a lovely night and I took a picnic to enjoy with my friend, Becky, as we drank a glass of wine, laughed about life and enjoyed a blast from the 70s with Steve’s playing. It was a lovely evening and I plan to go listen, next week, again before heading down to Mexico on Friday.
I hope to see some of you in Mexico at Otra Vez for my show on May 8th. It will be wonderful. I’m working hard on what I’d like to share with you.
I’m going to go practice before hitting the sack. Hope that everything is peaceful for you, tonight.
‘night, Mary
