This song was a fun one to write and liberating, as well! I have had to personally revisit it every now and then when I find myself forgetting the lesson learned and told………… I tell my daughters that if being around someone doesn’t encourage them to be the best person they can be……..they need to RUN!!!!!

Too many times I’ve spent more time than I should have with someone that wasn’t a good person for me to be around. Time and time, again, I’ve thought that if I just spent ENOUGH time with someone, that their character and demeanor would change and somehow they would be good for me, then……. Lessons tested and learned hopefully……… So, if you’re thinking of being my friend, remember, I’ve learned this lesson and you really don’t want me to sing it especially for you………… I’m pretty wholesome, really, but can use blushing language if pushed enough……….*chuckle***** But, not in my songs……ever……
I love this song and hope to record it, again, in possibly a different genre, with a little different delivery feel.
