Antiguan Waves

On the shore line of Antigua, I sat, listening to the waves…….ebbing and flowing……..pounding and then sitting back……….Antigua was one of the first flirtations that I had with my love for the water.  Growing up in Kansas, I fell in love with the sounds from the grasses, as heard from the top of the hill.  But, the waters of the sea and the ocean have such a lulabye, a mother’s dance…………something I find myself coming back to time and time, as I hope you’ll want to come back to MY Antiguan Waves.   As I sat for hours, listening to the music of the water, I couldn’t resist the inpiration to create “Antiguan Waves”.  What a suvenier to take home from a beautiful place.  Listen closely and you’ll hear the surf and the movement of it.

A good friend of mine recently transcribed the music for this piece.  I’ve had many people ask me if they can play my pieces.   If you’d like to play it, yourself, just write to me and I’ll see if I can get you a copy.  It doesn’t move too quickly, so even a moderate classical guitarist can play it, well.  I feel that it’s the greatest compliment for someone to play MY music.

JUst got “A Matter of Time” today. Came home and put it on. Enchanted! I layed back on the daveno and really enjoyed the CD. This and the title song are favorites, not to mean that the others were not enjoyed also. I especially enjoyed the intro to some of the songs. It set the mood for the music. I am extremely glad that I purchased 2 of them. Now who do I think will appreciate the other one as a gift? Can’t imagine that Barb will not fall in love with this music also when I give her CD to her on Valentines Day. You are so talented and I see you are gaining new talents also. We will be in L.B. 3 weeks so hope we will be able to see you this Christmas season. Waiting to hear when the other CD’s are available for purchase. A big pat on the back for a job so well done! This morning it is -20 with a slight wind. Any wind at that temp makes it MUCH colder! A friend,-Dave
