My dad is at Haven Behavioral in Pueblo - he is a retired AF guy suffering from PTSD/depression/anxiety etc. Like you, I've struggled with getting accurate information about my dad - one day they say he's on 20mg of Ambien, the next day I'm told no one on the floor gets more than 10mg. On his admission day, I asked what the plan was for discharge, considering he lives in PHX - I was told that "we plan for discharge the day they check in" - yet when I asked about it during week 3 of his 4 week stay, NO ONE HAD DONE ANYTHING!!! The SW got a piece of my mind and viola, a few days later, we have a plan...and that is dad will be going to Peak View Behavioral for their new IOP program. He will start there this Tuesday. I'm glad to read what you wrote about Peak View and I have had many great conversations with Arlene there in preparation for dad's arrival. Oh the joys of having to care for your parents. And I have not had a chance to read ALL of the blog yet BUT I will!!! Gary & I are living in Branson, Mo. now on Fall Creek Resort on Lake Taneycomo!!! And we LOVE it!!! We are about 2 miles from HWY 76 / "The Strip" & about 2 miles from Table Rock Dam & Fish Hatchery-so if you are familiar with the area-- you know about where we are!! We have owned on this resort since about the early 1980's & came down over a year ago (-almost 2 years ago now) to see if this is where we wanted to retire in about 5 years!! Well we ended up buying a HOME on the resort while we were here---- went back to Kansas & had two major auctions & auctioned off the 11,000 sq ft warehouse in Cedar Point & all the antiques left in it from all my antique shops & we sold our big old home at Gridley, Ks. & everything that would not fit into our new small retirement home in Branson!! Gary had retired from Boeing in Wichita-BUT was working for Spirit Aircraft company in Wichita & he went back to Ks. & told them he was retiring!! We lived through the auctions- & moved & we are soooooooooo glad we are sized down & are here!!! We love Branson & we love the area!! Love ALL it has to offer!!! So glad I found Mary's blog!! I will get it all read & see what you "wild women" have been up to!!! :)) Mary- I'm sure you are still involved with your Music along with your work!!!
